TOEFL test pattern: TOEFL has essentially twoversions: TOEFL iBT (Internet-based test) and TOEFL PBT (paper-based test). Both the versions of TOEFL test has four sections- Reading, Speaking, Listening and Writing and takes about 4-hours to complete. Cadidates can retake the TOEFL test as many times as they wish. It uses both human raters and automated scoring methods for evaluating a candidate's responses.
Conducting Authority: Educational Testing Service (ETS)
The SAT-I is a three hour, primarily multiple-choice test that measures verbal and mathematical reasoning abilities that develop over time. Most colleges require SAT-I scores for admission.
TOEFL registration: While there are four ways to get TOEFL Registration -Online, by mail, by phone and in person - majority of candidates apply for TOEFL online.
Test Scores: The TOEFL score requirements are set by individual educational institutions. The total TOEFL test score is between 0–120. TOEFL Test Results are valid for two years after the test date and there is no limit to the number of times you can take the test.. TOEFL test scores are posted online within 2-weeks of the test date.
TOEFL scholarship: TOEFL scholarship is awarded for achieving academic excellence and demonstrating English-communication proficiency. Test takers from Mainland China, India, Japan, Korea or Taiwan are eligible for the TOEFL scholarship.
